Ready to add a touch of boho-chic to your summer wardrobe? Then this crochet granny square daisy crop top is the perfect project! Combining the classic granny square with playful daisy motifs, this top is a fun and stylish piece perfect for those sunny days. Whether you're a seasoned crocheter or just starting, this pattern is adaptable to your skill level. Let's dive in and create a one-of-a-kind crop top!

Materials You’ll Need to Crochet a Daisy Crop Top

Start with the Basic Granny Square to Create Dasiy Motif

Create a small granny square as the center of the daisy. Crochet petals around the center using chain stitches and slip stitches. Then you can experiment with different color combinations for the daisy look. You can begin with a yellow center and work towards the outside with white to add the petals, then you can complete the borders of the motif with your desired color like baby blue. To personalize your project, you can add details like a button center or Picot stitches.

Assemble and Finish the Crop Top

  • Join multiple granny squares together to form the desired width for your crop top.
  • You can attach different colored lines between granny squares for a playful look.
  • Chain stitch or slip stitch the squares together.
  • Determine the desired length for your crop top and adjust the number of rows accordingly.
  • For finishing touches, weave in all loose ends.
  • Block the crop top to shape and size.
  • Add straps or ties for a customizable fit.

Additional Tips for the Perfect Daisy Patterned Crop Top

  • Choose a yarn that's suitable for summer wear.
  • Gauge is important for the fit. Crochet a swatch to determine your stitch count per inch.
  • Consider adding a lining for added comfort and opacity.
  • Experiment with different daisy placement and sizes for a unique look.

After finishing your daisy motif crochet crop top, pair it with your favorite crochet granny square shorts and create the most memorable and colorful summer days!

Very frustrating that the linked granny square does not go to a flower/daisy style granny square pattern and just a very basic one. This is a misleading post, as I wanted a tutorial for the daisy granny squares pictured in the images. The only mention of creating the daisy granny squares is one sentence saying to “use chain and slip stitches” that is no where near a tutorial
